On September 3-4, 2020, the China Drug Frontier Technology—Special Formulations Summit was successfully held in Jinan, the Spring City. The event was hosted by the Transdermal Drug Delivery Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and organized under the guidance of the Shandong Provincial Institute for Food and Drug Control.

Experts, scholars, and practitioners from regulatory agencies such as the China National Institute for Food and Drug Control and the Shandong Provincial Institute for Food and Drug Control, research institutes, academic institutions, and pharmaceutical companies gathered together. They engaged in in-depth and wide-ranging discussions on four key topics: oral solid dosage forms, transdermal formulations, high-difficulty injectables, and inhalation formulations. The event was packed with valuable insights, and attendees left with a wealth of knowledge!

Dr. Liu Feng, Chairman and General Manager of Guangzhou DiQi Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd, was invited as the keynote speaker and scheduled to present first. Dr. Liu delivered a thematic presentation titled “Innovative High-End Formulations Based on Carrier and Formulation Process Technologies,” detailing the preparation methods, characterization, and applications of hyaluronic acid-targeted protein carriers. He further illustrated the development and industrialization approach for long-acting injectables using PLGA as a carrier through practical examples. Dr. Liu Feng aims to advance the technological R&D and industrialization of pharmaceutical formulations in China, particularly high-end formulations. His presentation garnered significant attention and recognition from attendees.
