“Rescue” at Your Side | DiQi Pharma Conducts Emergency Evacuation Drills, First Aid Training, and Fire Equipment Usage Workshops
Release time: 2020/09/18

People often place all their hopes for rescuing victims of accidents or critical illnesses solely on hospitals and doctors, while lacking on-site first aid knowledge. This frequently causes patients facing life-threatening situations to lose precious minutes—sometimes as many as ten or more—of critical rescue time. To promote first-aid knowledge, enhance safety awareness, and strengthen employees' ability to respond to emergencies and perform self-rescue and mutual aid, our company conducted emergency evacuation drills on August 26 and first-aid training sessions with fire equipment instruction on August 27.

To enhance colleagues' ability to respond to and handle emergency incidents, the company's Safety Committee has decided to conduct this year's emergency evacuation drills at irregular intervals during the week following the issuance of activity notifications. At 12:55 PM on August 26, while most employees were still on their lunch break, the fire alarm suddenly sounded. Safety officers from each department promptly arrived at their assigned areas, guiding employees to evacuate to the nearest designated zones in an orderly manner. All employees actively cooperated, reaching the predetermined assembly points in the shortest possible time. The evacuation drill was successfully completed, with the entire exercise lasting 4 minutes and 19 seconds.

On the afternoon of August 27, an innovative first-aid training session was held. Two safety officers, both certified with the “CCR First Aid Certificate,” imparted professional first-aid knowledge to the attending employees through an engaging, lively, and easy-to-understand approach, creating an exceptionally enthusiastic atmosphere. The lecture covered six key topics including Basic Life Support, Airway Obstruction Management, and Trauma Care. The safety officers provided detailed explanations supplemented by real-life case videos, enabling colleagues to gain a deeper understanding of the theoretical knowledge. During the wound dressing segment, both safety officers personally demonstrated the specific details of wound treatment, enabling employees to gain a more realistic understanding and mastery of these life-saving “skills.”

Following the first aid training session, Supervisor Chang from the fire department of the property management company conducted a training session on fire safety knowledge and the proper use of common firefighting equipment. Using a real-life fire incident that occurred within our campus as an example, Supervisor Chang provided colleagues with detailed explanations on the precautions for using two different types of fire extinguishers and how to correctly use gas masks in a fire scene. Subsequently, with the assistance of security personnel from the property management company, participants engaged in hands-on fire extinguisher training exercises.

This emergency drill and first aid training session has concluded successfully. All participating colleagues expressed that they gained valuable insights. Through the emergency evacuation drill and first aid knowledge training, they learned both how to protect themselves and how to assist others. Our company will continue to organize various safety training activities in the future, enabling everyone to learn together and safeguard lives!
